Seminar: "Chemico-Mathematical Crossroad. What's Going On?"

Gregory Yablonsky, Saint Louis University

Abstract: A panoramic view on the interaction between Chemistry and Mathematics will be presented.  The ‘natural’ mathematical languages of contemporary Chemistry will be characterized using simple examples (linear and non-linear algebra, theory of differential equations).

Special attention will be paid to the problem “How to decode the chemical complexity using the mathematical tools”?

An effectiveness of collaboration between chemists and mathematicians will be discussed.
