Abstract: Avani Ahuja and Layla Dawit's magazine Gxrls in STEM was the focus of Dr. Julianne Vega's talk in the 2021 Joint Mathematics Meeting Session on Promoting Women in Mathematics. Avani and Layla will discuss the process of building Gxrls in STEM in addition to sharing their personal motivations behind the project and future goals for the magazine. Anyone is welcome to attend.
