Third Year Candidacy Requirement: "Bi-Parameter Sparse Bounds for Certain Journe Class Operators"

Speaker: Tyler Williams, Washington University in Saint Louis

Abstract: Classically, Harmonic Analysis is based on the maximal function over cubes which are solely determined by the parameter of side length. Bi-Parameter Theory will be introduced as well as analogous sparse bounds framework. Sparse Bounds for the Bi-Parameter Martingale Transform will be discussed and through Martikainen's Representation, Sparse Bounds for paraproduct free Journé class operators. If time permits, weighted estimates will be given in both instances.
