Szego Seminar: "Convergence of Fourier Series"

Abstract: We will review the basic ideas and questions regarding Fourier series. The main interest will be in the ways the identification between period functions and their Fourier series can be interpreted; that is, we are interested in the modes of convergence of a periodic function to its Fourier series. Results and methods for pointwise convergence will be mentioned. We will then spend time investigating the L^p convergence of square and spherical Fourier partial sums.
