Szego Seminar: "Circle Packings and The Discrete Riemann Mapping Theorem"
Speaker: Kesav Krishnan, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Abstract: I will introduce circle packings as described by Thurston and talk about how they can be used to discretize our notion of a conformal map; further, how they can be used to approximate conformal equivalences between two domains in the complex plane. This is essentially a presentation of the paper by Rodin and Sullivan.
