Major Oral Presentation: "Foundations of Differential Privacy"

Abstract: Differential privacy is a technique to protect the privacy of individuals within a statistical database through controlled perturbation of the input data and/or test statistics computed from the database. In this talk, I will discuss the historical and statistical foundations of differential privacy, as well as recent developments in the field and my proposed research direction.
