Guido Weiss Memorial Conference On Harmonic Analysis

Guido Weiss was well-known both nationally and internationally for his research in harmonic analysis and his mentorship of students from around the world. He died on December 25, 2021 after a lengthy illness. In recognition of his many accomplishments and his service for over 50 years as a member of the Mathematics Department of Washington University in St. Louis,

Washington University will host on October 8-9, 2022 a Guido Weiss Memorial Conference on harmonic analysis. The conference's principal speaker will be Professor R. Raphael (Raphy) Coifman. Raphy was a very close friend of Guido's for over 50 years as well as a colleague at Washington University for over 10 years and a co-author with Guido of many highly regarded research papers.

The conference will feature roughly 15 research talks in harmonic analysis. Other conference events will include an overview of Guido's research accomplishments by Rodolfo Torres, a discussion of Guido's prowess as a mentor by Sue Kelly, and a dinner with the Weiss family on the evening of Oct. 8.
