Geometry And Topology Seminar: "Floer cohomology for log symplectic surfaces"

Speaker: Charlotte Kirchoff-Lukat, MIT

Abstract: This talk will be an introduction to my current research project "First Steps in Mirror Symmetry for Generalized Complex Geometry". I will define generalized complex structures, give examples and motivate the the study of homological mirror symmetry in the generalized complex context.
In the second part of the talk, I will define Lagrangian intersection Floer cohomology for log symplectic surfaces, as a toy model and first step towards defining a Fukaya category in not purely symplectic contexts.
