Gauge Theory Seminar: "Property P for knots and Instantons"

Abstract: Property P states that any 3-manifold obtained as surgery on a non-trivial knot is not homeomorphic to S^3. In this expository talk, we discuss how tools from gauge theory can be used to verify this conjecture.
