Combinatorics Seminar: Some combinatorial aspects of the "Kapranov" embedding of the moduli space M_{0,n}-bar

Abstract: The Deligne-Mumford-Knudsen moduli space of stable marked curves M_{0,n}-bar is a projective variety with many nice recursive and combinatorial properties. For example, it has a set of distinguished ``boundary points'' indexed by stable marked trees. After introducing this variety, I will describe some combinatorial and geometric properties of an embedding of M_{0,n}-bar into a product of projective spaces.
