Analysis Seminar: The von Neumann inequality for 3×3 matrices in the unit Euclidean ball

Abstract: In 2022, Hartz, Richter, and Shalit proved von Neumann's inequality for $n\times n$ row-contractive, commuting $d-$tuples of matrices. Following Kosiński's work, I will show that a constant $c_{d,3}$ remains independent of the size of the $d-$tuple. Furthermore, I will discuss the estimation of this constant, which involves numerical calculations at certain points.
