Analysis Seminar: "Local boundedness and integrability of rational functions"

Speaker: Gregory Knese, Washington University in Saint Louis

Abstract: Given a rational function analytic on the unit polydisk, when is it bounded on the d-torus?  When does it belong to various L^p spaces?  The case of boundedness in two variables was resolved by János Kollár, who recently proved a conjecture of myself, Bickel, Pascoe, and Sola.  We will discuss this as well as some progress on understanding integrability of rational functions via our complete local description of polynomials in two variables with no zeros on the bi-upper half-plane.
