Algebraic Geometry Seminar: "Polynomiality of hyperelliptic Hodge integrals"

Speaker: Adam Afandi, University of Münster

Abstract: Hyperelliptic Hodge integrals are a class of intersection numbers on the moduli space of stable hyperelliptic curves. They arise naturally from orbifold Gromov-Witten theory. Recently, it has been shown that these intersection numbers arrange themselves into integer-valued polynomial families. In this talk, I will present various properties/conjectures about these polynomials, from the vantage point of their f^* and h^*-vectors.
