Steven G. Krantz is a world-renowned expert in complex analysis, harmonic analysis, and PDEs and he has completed 50 years of active research in these areas. He was an inaugural Fellow of the American Mathematical Society in 2012. He has won numerous awards, including Chauvenet Prize (1992), and was awarded several research grants all throughout his career.

Steven Krantz wrote several popular textbooks and reference monographs in mathematics frequently referred by students and faculty. Krantz was instrumental in initiating the study of automorphism groups of bounded domains in . readers.

He has guided 20 Ph.D. dissertations and published more than 150 monographs/textbooks and more than 330 research articles, see for example, Greene and Krantz (1981), Krantz (1982), Krantz (1990), Chang, Krantz and Stein (1993), Burns and Krantz (1994), Krantz and Parks (1999), Greene, Kim, Krantz (2011), Krantz and Parks (2002), Isaev and Krantz (2001), etc.

 

He was a former Editor in Chief of the Notices of the American Mathematical Society and currently serving as an Editor in Chief for several other notable journals, such as the Journal of Geometric Analysis, Complex Analysis and its Synergies, etc. He is currently serving as editor of several other noted journals, including The American Mathematical Monthly.
