Dr. Petrie earned two undergraduate degrees (B.S. Mathematics and B.E.S. Curriculum and Instruction) from Mizzou in 2000. She attended Washinton University and received an M.A. Mathematics in 2003. In 2023, she completed her Ed.D in Educational Practice, with an emphasis in collegiate-level statistics education.
In addition to teaching lower-division math courses at UMSL and Washington University, she also supervises local high school teachers who participate in UMSL's Advanced Credit Program, and she is a part of the College Board's AP Calculus leadership team.
In years past, she was the curriculum advisor to the college board for AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC.
