The Department of Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis is proud to announce that Professor Rachel Roberts has been named a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) for 2026.
The Fellows program recognizes members who have made outstanding contributions to the creation, exposition, advancement, communication, and utilization of mathematics. Election as a Fellow of the AMS is among the highest honors in the mathematical community, reflecting the deep respect of one’s peers.
Rachel joins department AMS Fellows John McCarthy, Xiang Tang, and Brett Wick and Emeritus Professor Steven Krantz, highlighting the continued excellence and impact of our faculty across the mathematical sciences.
