The Department of Mathematics is delighted to announce that Professor Brett D. Wick has been appointed as the inaugural Robert G. and Maxine W. Scheibe Professor of Mathematics, effective October 1, 2025.
This endowed professorship recognizes Professor Wick’s exceptional contributions to research, teaching, and service at Washington University in St. Louis. A formal installation ceremony and dinner in his honor will be held at a later date.
Endowed chairs represent the highest academic distinction the university can bestow, reflecting both outstanding past achievements and confidence in continued scholarly leadership.
