Third Year Oral Examination: "A Groupoid Approach to Quantum Stochastic Processes"

Speaker: Joshua Covey, Washington University in Saint Louis

Abstract: Quantum stochastic processes frequently arise in certain areas of physics and quantum computation. For motivation and context, the talk begins with a very brief overview of the postulates of quantum probability, as well as a brief overview of some of the various approaches to quantum stochastic processes. After laying the groundwork, the talk will address its namesake: a proposed groupoid approach to studying quantum stochastic processes.

Hosts: Renato Feres, Yanli Song, and Ari Stern
