Szego Seminar: "The geometry of Interpolating Sequences"

Speaker: Alberto Dayan, Washington University in Saint Louis

Abstract: This talk will be an invitation to interpolating sequences for (some) reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces: no previous knowledge of the topic is necessary. The idea that I will try to emphasize throughout the talk is that the hyperbolic geometry of the disc and the euclidean geometry of the Hardy space are connected. As a consequence, one can restate the well-known equivalent separation conditions of Carleson's Theorem for interpolating sequences in terms of the Euclidean geometry that the Hardy space inherits from its scalar product.
