Analysis Seminar: "Spectra of Kohn Laplacians on CR manifolds"

Abstract: In this talk, we present recent results on the Kohn Laplacian on CR manifolds. We also talk about the spectrum of the Kohn Laplacian and revisit Folland's classical eigenvalue computation on the sphere. We also look at the growth rate of the eigenvalue counting function and present an analog of the Weyl Law. Finally, we look at the eigenvalues of the perturbed Kohn Laplacian on the Rossi sphere in $\mathbb{C}^2$. We present some computational results that lead to an understanding of spectra of more general second-order differential operators on abstract CR manifolds.
