Analysis Seminar: "On a nonlocal version of Widder's theorem for the heat equation"

Abstract: In this talk we will review recent results on nonlocal differential equations. We consider the heat equation associated with the fractional Laplacian as a first model. After considerations on what a strong solution means in this context, we prove that nonnegative solutions of this type are unique and can be represented as the convolution of their trace with the fundamental solution.
