Math 127 Information; November 9, 2009

• The exam next week will cover Chapters 8 and 9; this includes some overlap with the previous exam. We skipped the last part of 8.4, Mean Value Theorem, and 8.7 and they will not be on the exam. I hope to cover all of 9.9 in class but there will be no questions on the exam from the last two subsections of 9.9, First-Order Linear Equations, and Variable Right-Hand side.
• The format for the exam will be similar to the previous two. The guidelines regarding note cards and regarding calculators are the same.
• The quiz this week will cover Sections 9.5, 9.6, and 9.7 but those sections requite having the first half of the chapter under control.
• This week’s webwork assignment is the next to last. Next week is an exam, the week after that is Thanksgiving break. The last full week of classes begins November 30^th. That is when the last webwork assignment will be available. Also, after this week there is one more quiz, during the last full week of classes.
• The last day of classes is Monday, December 7^th. The final is a week later on the 14^th. It will cover the entire course. I’ll give you more details after Thanksgiving.
