  • Grades as of April 30
  • Text:  Mathematical Thinking, Problem-Solving and Proofs, 2nd Edition, by John D'Angelo and Douglas West.  My tentative plan is to cover Chapters 1 —8, then 13 —15 but that is probably too ambitions.

     
    Schedule:
            Tuesday January 13, First Class.
            Tuesday March 4, Spring Break— No Class
            Thursday March 6, Spring Break —No Class
            Thursday April 24, Last Class
            Friday May 2, 1 PM —3 PM, Final Exam, this room
     
    Exams: There will be one in-class midterm, probably on Friday March 14.
     
    Assignments: There will be (roughly) weekly assignments which will be collected and graded.

    Grades: Grades will be based on the homework grades (20%), the midterm exam grade (30%) and the final exam grade (50%).
